Hurricane Florence

HURRICANE FLORENCE // RELIEF EFFORTS

“Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.” Psalm 5:1-2

I’m sure you have now heard about the unprecedented wind, rain, and flooding from Hurricane Florence. You may be wondering, “How can I help?”

Pray:

“Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.” Psalm 5:1-2

Gather with your family and/or friends and pray for those who have been affected by this storm. Join with your church family tomorrow and make it a point to pray for the victims of this storm. Here are a few very specific ways you can pray:

  • Pray for safety for those in flooded areas.
  • Pray for God to be glorified and the gospel to be shared during the numerous relief efforts.
  • Pray the Lord would use this storm to draw people to Himself.
  • Pray for our first responders and emergency personnel.
  • Pray for provision for those without shelter, food, and water.
  • Pray for wisdom and strength for both responders and those affected by this storm.
  • Pray for loved ones to be quickly reunited with their family and friends.

Give:

We encourage you to consider living and giving generously. You can live generously by going and helping in relief efforts. You can give generously by giving towards the relief efforts. Both are equally as important in moment like these.

Did you know, because of your amazing generosity, Restoration Church gave around $15,000 to NAMB last year? Some of this money goes to support SEND Relief. It is used for situations like this. We are tremendously thankful for a giving church!
